Entertainment & Sport |
Through close cooperation with sports clubs, sportsmen/sportswomen, artists, record companies, studios, theatres, music publishers, managers and trade associations, Wistrand's specialist group for entertainment and sport has acquired broad experience of the legal issues in this area. Sweden has many examples of great talent in the creative industry. There is considerable value to be protected and the industry is characterized by increasing professionalism. For many sportsmen/sportswomen, artists and companies in the industry, it is natural to have a sounding board in matters of business law. In striving to establish a close cooperation with our clients, we become a natural part of their business. Here are some examples of how we can help:
- Drafting and reviewing contracts specific to the industry (for example artists, con-tracts, publishing, licence and royalty contracts, cooperation contracts, management contracts, producer contracts, sponsor contracts, advertising/merchandising contracts and concert contracts)
- Legal issues related to sporting activities
- Analysis and follow-up of various copyright issues
- Acquisition and licensing of rights
- Forming a company and drafting partnership/shareholder agreements
- Intermediary, arranging concert permits and work permits
