Wistrand advises the sellers in connection with the sale of the Ewalco Group to Humble Group AB (publ)

Humble Group has acquired the Swedish food wholesale group Ewalco. Wistrand was the sellers’ legal counsel in connection with the transaction. The purchase price amounts to a fixed compensation of SEK 110 million and additional earn-out purchase prices based on future EBITDA-results.

Ewalco is a leading Swedish foodtech-group with a wide selection of ingrediency solutions and adaption of raw materials directed to whole sale and sports nutrition. The company has long experience in the area, going back 41 years since it started back in 1981. Ewalco sells and markets its own ingrediency solutions and products to some of the biggest trademarks in the Nordic countries and retailers of modern and attractive FMCG-products (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods). The Ewalco Group had a turnover in 2020 amounting to approximately SEK 274 million.

Humble Group is a FMCG-group focusing on investing in companies that offers products that are good for everyone, including the environment. Today Humble Group consists of about 13 business companies operating within fast-growing segments, such as sugar reduction, functional food and sustainable beauty and health.

Wistrand’s team has been led by partner Johannes Wårdman, assisted mainly by tax consultant Bo Svensson, senior associate Jeanette Jönsson (M&A) and associate Anton Bengtsson (M&A).
