Wistrand advises the sellers in connection with the sale of the Maximum Games Group to Zordix AB (publ)
The U.S. based companies Maximum Games, Inc and MG Team, Inc, including its respective subsidiaries in the U.S., Brazil, the UK and Ireland (“Maximum Games”) have been acquired by Zordix AB (publ) and Wistrand has assisted the sellers in connection with the divestment.
Maximum Games is a full-service publisher and distributor of video games with more than 300 titles in its catalogue and operates the independent publisher Modus Games and the development team Modus Studios in Brazil. Maximum Games has approx. 78 employees and with offices in the U.S., Brazil and the UK, Maximum Games is a leading actor in the global gaming market.
Zordix AB (publ) is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market and is a multinational developer, publisher and distributor, whose business idea is to develop and release games for consoles and PCs on the global market.
The initial purchase price for Maximum Games amounts to USD 42 million. The purchase price is paid both in immediately available funds and by way of issuance of new B-shares in Zordix AB (publ). In addition to the initial purchase price, the sellers of Maximum Games are entitled to earn-out based on EBITDA results.
